Ranthambore National Park is among the largest national parks in northern India. The park served as the hunting grounds for the kings of Jaipur. This famous wildlife sanctuary boasts of being the first Project Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan. Deriving its name from the 1,000 year old fort, standing within its premises, Ranthambore is enveloped by Chambal River in south and the Banas River in the north. Animals

Besides tigers, Ranthambore wildlife includes its sambar and chital population. Other popular wildlife encompasses langurs, spotted deer, crocodiles, wild boars, chinkara and black buck.

Bird watching in Ranthambore offers you a large number of exotic birds. It is a home to about 272 species of birds. The list includes woodpeckers, bee eaters, cuckoos, pigeon, parakeets, eagles, egrets, flamingos, minivets, bulbul, dove, darters and falcons.

Flora

Malik Talao

These ruins position between the Padam Talao and the Raj Bagh Talao. The ruins encompass the broken down rooms and outhouses with arches, domes and walls. Visitors can see the majestic tigers relaxing in the shade of the structures in the park.
